Many students are unintentionally guilty of plagiarism
when they write reports, assignments and research papers.

PLAGIARISM = An act of
using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without
authorization and the representation of that author’s work as one’s own, as by
not crediting the original author.

Failing to put a quotation in quotation marks.

source without giving credit.

THE PROCESS OF PARAPHRASE

Make sure you understand
·
Go away and take a break (to let the information
process).
·
Return to rewrite in your own words without looking.
Make sure to change grammar.
·
Check to see differences between the original and with
the one you write.
·
Cite the paraphrase text especially when it is new
information to you. If it is common knowledge then there is no need to cite.
REMEMBER!
*when paraphrasing, look at the vocabulary and the grammar!

The final examination results and assesments at the
end of every semester are assigned a GPA amd CGPA which represents a student’s
academic achievement.
·
A GPA refers to the calculated average of the letter
grades a student earns in each semester following a 0 to 4.0 scale.
