On the first class, all of the students were gathered at the Dewan Titiwangsa to listen about the first topic which is Getting Ready To Learn as a kick start of UED102(STUDY SKILLS) subject. The lecture were delivered by Dr, Fauzi Azmi. He gave us a lecture on how to adapt in university's lifestyle and it's culture. Below are some example of topics that he explained
Difference Between School and College:
- Spend less time in class: which is true because we are only going to be spending time in class about two to six hours, and having a lot of group discussion outside of the class.
- Spend more time studying outside of class : I often goes to the library to borrow books for my assignment.
- We will do more reading : I have to do some research based on the assignment given. I have to look up points based on the assignment.
- There will be fewer test : well, it's true because in high school there were a lot of examination compare to the university.
- We might not be reminded of the due dates and exams. : I don't want to missed out any important dates
- More group assignments with meeting outside the class.
- No extension on due dates
- Participation affects grades.
- Fewer reasons for excused absences.
